artist and percussionist Barry Dove wears many hats in the world of
percussion. He leads his own Jazz Quartet as well and the renowned "Global
Percussion Trio", a group that covers literally every corner of "world
percussion".
Dove is also the principal Timpanist of the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra
and the Key West Symphony Orchestra as well as a percussionist with
the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra, Washington contemporary music Forum,
the National Theatre and subs regularly with the Baltimore Symphony
Orchestra.
Barry studied at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, the University
of Ghana in Accra and Universidad de La Habana in Cuba. He currently
teaches at Towson University, UMBC, the Loyola College and performs
outreach programs for both the Baltimore Symphony Arts Excel Program
and Young Audiences of Maryland.
