Billy Ashbaugh

Billy AshbaughBilly Ashbaugh began drumming at age 15, and turned professional by age 18. Several years later, he became a drum instructor and built his reputation as a musician with local bands in the Florida area, particularly the band "House Gigs".

In 1992, Billy was hired to play drums for Arista recording artist Snap, which led to a 2-1/2 year tour. Billy also recorded two solo funk/rock albums for Turbo B., Snap’s lead singer/rapper. Through this contact, he was asked to play drums for the newly-formed band, 'N Sync, whom he later toured with. In addition, Billy has recorded with Pat Benatar, and also starred in an installment of Bob Gatzen's "Inspiring Drummer's" video series (Warner Bros.), with a follow up play-along cd entitled "In Session". The latter features sections of 'N Sync's "HBO Live" concert special. Billy has also backed such stars as Britney Spears and Jordan Knight.

Billy continues to be involved in recording, touring, and making instructional materials for drummers and musicians.
