One of the most respected and popular Cuban Rumba groups worldwide, Los Munequitos de Matanzas, designated Latin Percusssion as the band’s sole provider of hand-percussion instruments.
"We are extremely proud to have a group of Los Munequitos’ caliber and history exclusively playing LP," says company Founder, Martin Cohen. "Their music helped establish, and today continues, the tradition of folkloric Afro-Cuban music which Latin Percussion is very much a part of."
The band’s members who are now official LP endorsers are Diosdado Ramos, Jesús Alfonso, Bárbaro Ramos, Augustíne Diaz, and Eddie Espinosa.
Formed in 1952, Los Munequitos de Matanzas got its start in a bar in Barrio Marina in Matanzas, Cuba, and was nominated for a Grammy in 2001. Today, the band continues to tour the world and is firmly established as a part of the living legends of African music in Cuba
