 Crystal Taliefero has a wide range of talents, including vocals, percussion, drumset and guitar, and has perfomed for some of the the biggest names in the music world. She broke onto the scene in 1985 as a vocalist and percussionist with John Cougar Mellencamp.
She also played drumset with Bob Seger and later became a member of the Billy Joel’s band. "I started doing full-blown percussion on Billy Joel's Stormfront tour. It was my third tour and album with him," she says. "And I played guitar and percussion on the Bruce Springsteen album’s, Lucky Town and Human Touch Tour, as well as subsequent tours. "Rock and roll percussion is different than doing a Latin gig, so it was like going back to school," Crystal says. "I've never had an opportunity to do a real solo before, and it was exciting!"

and Sheila
E. Crystal has toured and recorded with
such great artists as Enrique Iglesias, John Cougar
Mellencamp, Bob Seger, Bruce Springsteen and Billy
Joel. She is currently touring with Michael McDonald.
When not on the road, Crystal is busy working for
Weston Woods Children Music Video, a subsidiary of
Scholastic Achievement and managing her own recording
studio, R
Place Studios, which is located minutes from downtown
Nashville.
