Each year a group of professional and semi-pro Salsa dancers
meet at Salsa Congresses. Salsa
Congresses have a set of common
elements: shows, workshops, social parties, live bands, booths,
master classes and competitions.
Latin Percussion has been selected by house bands at Salsa Congresses
throughout the U.S. After the events the instruments will be
raffled off to the attendees. LP is honored to be chosen as a
percussion provider for such high profile, Latin music-based
events that are the heart and soul of the Salsa world.

12 Year old PERCUSSION
SENSATION SIGNS WITH LP
Dayron Rodriguez-Velazco, the young percussion sensation from
Havana, Cuba is only 12 years old. He has already played and recorded
with some of the major talent from that culturally rich country
including 'The Buena Vista Social Club' and the legendary 'Septeto
Habanero'.
Young Dayron is the new hit player in Havana, a place filled with
great percussionists. Dayron is not your average 'chops' player;
on the contrary he plays with the maturity of somebody who's been
in the music field for 30 or 40 years. It's been said that a player
like him only appears every hundred years. Dayron has just signed
an endorsement contract with LP and you can see him here with his
dream instrument, the legendary 'Dandy'
