Playing percussion instruments as an enjoyable social activity that promotes health and happiness which is embodied in the community drumming movement." LP artist Jim Greiner has been one of the pioneers of this movement for many years now. He has won acclaim, including the recent Drum! Magazine readers' poll, in which Jim took away top awards for Drum Circle Facilitator of the Year and Best Percussion DVD/Video, and first runner up for the World-beat Percussionist and Percussion Clinician categories.

Now Jim has collaborated with LP in creating a website to inform people about the community drumming phenomenon. The new site, www.communitydrumming.com will be the first stop for information and inspiration for those interested in drum circle and community drumming events.

The mandate of the new site is to promote recreational drumming as an integral part of life. The website provides an interactive learning environment where information, opinions, rhythms and rhythm-based activities are shared. Participants are invited to contribute input on a wide range of relevant topics. The communitydrumming.com site is expected to become the first stop for those who want to know more about the field as well as veteran drum circle and community drumming advocates willing to lend their expertise.

Few are as admirably suited to a leadership role in this site as Jim Greiner. He is a performer, educator, motivational/inspirational speaker, drum circle expert, and drum gathering facilitator whose credibility in recreational drumming and corporate team building through rhythm is respected through out the community.
