 At
the top of the summer, six of LA’s top musicians gathered at
Burbank’s CenterStaging for a rousing live performance featuring
a variety of Kaman instrument brands. The
event, immortalized on a video co-produced by LP’s Jim Rockwell and Steve Grecco, featured
LP artist
Ron Powell and other Kaman Music stalwarts, including Eugene
Huang (Takamine, Genz Benz), David Leach (Toca), Forrest Robinson (Gretsch
Drums), and Daniel Shulman (Hamer, Genz-Benz). The occasion was an
artist photo shoot to grace the July cover of Musicians Friend.
The promotional event also launched a series of incredible weekly
giveaways beginning July 10, 2007 wherein Kaman/Musicians Friend distributed
gratis a generous selection of Kaman gear. When the series wound up
on August 21, 2007 it was hailed a tremendous success with thousands
participating in hopes of a prize.
Aside from providing footage of a sizzling band performance, the event
was a tremendous opportunity for Kaman to demonstrate the breadth of
professional gear offered under that one banner and the top LA pros
who play those instruments
