LP DONATES INSTRUMENTS TO THE
NATIONAL MUSIC WORKSHOP’S DAYJAMS SUMMER CAMPS

Bradley WebbThis summer, kids across the country will be living out their dreams of becoming rock stars with a little help from LP and the National Music Workshop. LP is co-sponsoring the National Music Workshop’s Dayjams summer camps by donating high-quality Latin Percussion instruments which includes 10 sets of congas, maracas and tambourines, for use by the campers. Beginners and advanced players will be able to hone their skills on the guitar, bass, drums, hand percussion, keyboards, DJ Scratch, and vocals, under the direction of professional musicians and teachers.

In 1984, the National Guitar Workshop (NGW), the nation’s largest summer music camp program, began teaching musicians at overnight programs across North America and Europe. Through Dayjams, NGW’s outstanding program is now available to students between the ages of nine and fifteen at day camps in their own communities. Surrounded by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff of music teachers, art teachers, and counselors, students learn the techniques they need to play the music they love, as well as the dynamics of actually being in a rock band.

Anyone interested in the Dayjams 2003 sessions will find them in the following locations: Alexandria, VA; Ann Arbor, MI; Baltimore, MD; Boston MA; Chicago, IL; Long Island, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Philadelphia, PA; Purchase, NY; Rockville, MD. For more info, please visit: http://www.dayjams.com/
