Jim Greiner, long time LP artist, clinician and head of LP's
Recreational & Community
Drumming Program, appeared at the 14th
annual Seattle World Rhythm Festival.
Jim presented a number of clinics, supported by LP, including, Hand Percussion
Instruments in Popular Music, Congas in Popular Music, Fundamentals of Congas,
The Contemporary Percussionist's Role in Popular Music, Rhythm Play for Families
and Friends, Communicating, Cooperating and Celebrating Through Rhythm, as
well as leading numerous drum circles. LP was pleased to donate an LP
Aspire Conga to benefit the fund raiser raffle which Greiner demonstrated on the
festival’s main stage.
The Seattle World Rhythm Festival is the largest event of its kind in the
world and draws from 7,000 to 9,000 people for the weekend event. The festival
took place at the Seattle Center and featured over 75 percussionists along
with workshop leaders from Africa, North America, Asia, the Mid-East and
Europe.
Since 1980, Jim has led thousands of drumming programs worldwide through
his company, Jim Greiner's
Hands-On! Drumming® Events.
He specializes in percussion workshops for schools and communities,
team-building motivational drumming programs and keynote presentations
for corporations, conferences and communities, and drumming for wellness
for therapeutic
centers and private groups. He is also the percussionist for the 10
piece corporate events band, The
Bill Hopkins Rockin' Orchestra and for Soul/R&B singer Sista
Monica Parker.
