At the Percussive Arts Society's annual gathering in Nashville, LP made two people who completed entry forms for a giveaway celebrating LP's 40th Anniversar very happy.

On Saturday, November 13 at 2:00 pm the winners were picked from a bowl. At stake was over $2300 in LP 40th Anniversary drums and stands.

The draw highlighted LP's forty years in the industry-four decades defined by a passion for creating innovative, quality instruments that look to the future, while eyeing the past for inspiration.

The grand prizewinner was Nathan Louis, 19, hailing from Commerce, Texas. Nathan won a 40th Anniversary Quinto and Conga plus two Futurelite conga stands. The gear has a retail value of $1800.

First prize went to Richard Shemaka, 16, from Marietta, Georgia, who walked away with a pair of 40th Anniversary Bongos and Bongo Stand, retail value $555.00.

The winning congas and bongos are part of a unique and collectable series, instantly recognizable for their rich blond-to-red-to-ebony shell fade and custom designed LP 40th Anniversary Logo, sealed under a luxurious glossy lacquer finish. The “reaching upwards” logo motif symbolizes LP's eternal quest for innovation and sonic excellence. And, indeed, each feature of these drums, from the select rawhide heads (also emblazoned with the LP 40th anniversary logo) to the gold hardware and Comfort Curve Rims, conspires to produce instruments that will be looking and sounding great well beyond the next forty years.

LP salutes Messrs. Louis and Shemaka and urges them to carry on LP's four-decade tradition of excellence.
