While
recently promoting his Carlos by Carlos Santana
clothing collection on the second floor of San Franciscos Macys
department store, Carlos Santana treated the crowd of 500 onlookers to an impromptu
conga solo on an LP Accents Santana Supernatural
Conga. Santana jammed with Rondalla Alisal, a youth performance group and Milagro
Foundation grant recipient, who also performed on LP bongos, guiros,
and claves.
The LP Accents Santana Supernatural Congas and Bongos, which feature
the artwork from Santanas multi-platinum Supernatural album, were unveiled
at the NAMM 2001 Show in Anaheim, California. With all of the touring
I have done over the last year behind the Supernatural album, this spontaneous
performance was extra-special since it gave me the opportunity to play conga
along with the children from Rondalla Alisal, says Santana. To
be able to give something back to the community, especially our younger generation,
is a wonderful feeling and a responsibility which I proudly embrace.
A portion of the proceeds from all LP Accents Santana
Supernatural Conga and Bongo sales will go to Carlos & Deborah
Santanas charity, The Milagro Foundation, which benefits children. For
